Many servicemen and women are discharged from the military with disabilities both physical and psychological. A common trait for these individuals is that they are highly driven to overcome their disability and forge a new life for themselves and their families.
Beyond the visible scars of war, many veterans face social isolation, fearing integration and rejection, especially those from minority groups who might not find representation or understanding in broader support networks.
Team OppO sets out to empower veterans living with mental and physical disabilities to pursue their own recovery through access to sports. Through sports and activities we aim to promote physical rehabilitation and mental well-being and a create a pathway to physical and mental healing.
